This in-service is offered to familiarize elementary school teachers with the GATE identification Process. Information covered will include:

• Screen students for GATE Testing
• The tests used to identify students as gifted
• General characteristics of gifted students vs high average students
• Brief explanation of the GATE Identification Matrices
