06/27/00 - The SKIP dancers are on the plane for their loooooong! flight to the National Finals. Good Luck!! For people visting this page, keep checking back, as results will be posted as soon as they are received.
Twenty Five SKIP dancers will depart on the morning of 6/27/00 to compete in the National Dance Finals in Branson, Missouri and Vancouver British Columbia. SKIP will be competing against hundreds of other finalist from across the U.S. Mainland and Canada. Besides competing, the dancers look forward to renewing old acquaintences and making new friends. 10/18/99 - Michael Lomeka just returned to New York City after completing a tour of "Romeo and Juliet: The Musical." This is a rock and roll version, so the music is really cool. Now that he's in NYC, he is rehearsing with Baryshnikov and the White Oak Dance Project. He and Baryshnikov along with three female dancers are learning a new piece by choreographer Jon Jasperse. Following several weeks of rehearsal, Michael will return to Madison Square Garden to perform in "A Christmas Carol." One week after it closes, he will go on a European Tour with Baryshnikov and the White Oak Dance Project. Not bad for a guy from Guam!!!!
